Halina Dulemba

One of the most popular Cravovian embroiderers, known for her beautiful, meticulously embroidered artworks and active participation in Stowarzyszenie Miłośników Tradycyjnego Rękodzieła Ludowego i Artystycznego ‘Lud-Art’ [eng. folk and artistic handcrafts association]. Currently in the position of vice-president of the association.

She’s had 13 individual exhibitions, she took part in numerous exhibitions by the ‘Lud-Art’ association and many competitions. She’s recieved many awards and honorable mentions, such as national embroidery competition ‘Z nici Ariadny’ [eng. from Ariadne’s thread] in 2018, organized by the Central Museum of Textile in Łódź, in where she recieved honorable mentions for 4 of her works.

Furthermore, her work was awarded with a nomination for the ‘Older Person of the year 2009’ in ‘Poza Stereotypem’ [eng. beyond stereotype] Plebiscite, and a nomination for ‘Persona of the Year’ by Gazeta Krakowska in 2018.

You can see Halina Dulemba’s work in the Central Museum of Textile in Łódź or in the Museum of Folk Musical Instruments in Szydłowiec.
