Anna Kaszuba-Dębska

Painter, graphic artist, illustrator, designer of books for children and adults. Author and director of animated films and commercials. She graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, in Professor Leszek Misiak’s studio, and in Graphics with the specialization of Animated Film in Professor Jerzy Kucio’s. She finished postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in Book Design and Typography Studio of Professor Maciej Buszewicz. Her PhD thesis is about Bruno Schulz’ art legacy. In 2016, thanks to słowo/obraz terytoria publishing house, she released a biography, titled ‘Kobiety i Schulz’ [eng. women and Schulz].

In 2018, she got a grant from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland for literature. Author of a blog site about books (and more). She’s a lecturer in the Children University Foundation and reviewer of books for children and teenagers at the Kultura Liberalna website. Designer behind the interior of the artistic-literary Cafe Szafe coffee shop, that will forever hold a place in the culture map of Cracow.
